I'm guessing it was her Boss, or somebody "Higher-up" in the job than her.

If it was a boss, I'd quit and sue.
If it was a family member I'd laugh in their face
If it was a partner, I'd post it on a public forum to whip up more drama in order to validate my existence some more and seek approval from strangers to boost a low self-esteem.
