The gaming industry hasn't changed fast enough to reflect this. Games have got more violent for sure, there's more brain-splattering limb-tearing head-biting gut-wrenching 18+ action then ever before, but what about the sex?
Where are the cut scenes with Lara Croft doing a full-frontal as she gets out of the shower? Where are the sex scenes in Final Fantasy between the lead characters? Why aren't there options to undress more women in the James Bond games?
It seems the closest the Europeans have got to this type of titillation is having two female lead characters in Fear Effect 2 that get on better than they should do, or the implied sex in Grand Theft Auto 3. Can anyone actually recall seeing a nipple in a game yet?
It seems OK for the Japanese to have their 'stalking the young girl' games and 'voyeuristic photography games', and of course if you want to spend the extra money you can import these kinds of titles. But we shouldn't have to.
Face it, sex IS entertaining, and sex DOES sell product. I'm not saying that sex should be the main theme of a game, put it should definitely be included in some 18+ rated games.
I suppose with the UK censorship laws there would be an ethical and moral minefield for developers to navigate; for example they'd have to make sure that sex and violence are not linked in any way, that underage sex was not alluded to, that forced scenarios were not included and so on. Plus of course they'd have to face the wrath of the Daily Mail, and probably have to run the gauntlet of a few new White Papers going through Parliament if they started to break the mould and include, Lord forgive me for saying this, nipples in a cut scene.
It's essentially down to market forces, but personally I feel there are enough gamers out there ready to see nudity in games as par for the course. Maybe developers and console manufacturers could to a trial run of 'D***s on Bikes: GP' on XBox or 'Harry's Harem' for the PS2 over in liberated Sweden to see how things go.
Games aren't just for kids, more and more adults play them too, so I feel that more and more games developers should start to reflect this.

And I can't.
Because I left the bloody disc at home.
Bah.
I consider video gaming a refuge, the last thing I want is to suddenly be confronted with a full-frontal Lara Croft.
That sort of thing is for sweaty-palmed geeks that don't get any.
This has been proven in a lab by men in coats.
The plot is going to have to be pretty weird if an essential point of it is character's having sex. If you look at a lot of films with adult scenes in them then the scenes actually play little part in the plot e.g. Wild Things, Bound, Apocalypse Now e.t.c In fact it's common for films which are rubbish to sell because of sex in them - Wild Things is a prime candidate for that ! Many of the greatest films like Star Wars and Lord Of The Rings have no adult scenes in them.
Sex in games isn't the same as having different adult content in games like violence. Violence can be tied into a plot and game much more easily and be more integral to the game, if a developer chooses. Hitman 2 for example, gives players a choice as to how much violence to use.
The Japanese may have taken a completely different way on this, or it seems that way, mainly because the culture there is completely different, espeically with games. One of the top PS2 games there at the moment is "My Summer Vacation 2", where you just play a child doing things in a vacation...completely boring to us but it's selling their. I'm not sure, but I don't think there actually are any games for stalking available in Japan....might be wrong if anyone wants to name them....
At a time when games are just reaching widespread popularity and acceptability with a mainstream, I don't think the industry needs to be engulfed by the whole sex/nudity in games thing. Certainly Sony and Microsoft could try, there's already the rubbish looking Dave Mira XXX on the way, but if they did then they hand a massive victory to Nintendo.
I'm not saying it's wrong to have sex e.t.c in games, just that theres no point unless it plays a role in the game other than acting as a quick Playboy fix....
