Well there's your reason then, you've never experienced it. But do you see what I'm saying about the style differences that appeal to different people?

Agreed, although it is a certain skill to not be able to use your weapons.

That's right, I am comparing it to the original UT in every aspect. Do you know why? I'll tell you. Look at the title of the game. Unreal Tournament 2003. ITS STILL UNREAL TOURNAMENT!!
It is in no way an entirely different product, merely a sequel to one of the most successful games of all time. So doesn't that give me a right to compare it with the original? If it was called Generic Shooter 3 then I couldn't compare it as I am now, but it isn't, so I am. OK?
Incidentally, I don't intend to sound so patronizing, that's just the way I type. :-)
Also as a buying guide for hardcore UT fans who will notice the difference more than Joe Bloggs down the road.

I loved the original UT. But i also love 2003.
I'll download it when I have time (and another 700MB CD to put it on, as 4 other games are taking up my current disc :D).
Ignore the brackets :D
Great, great game guys. Can't wait to get *ahem* it and Unreal 2. Superb, and I love the sport element of it, where you can swap players etc. One of my favourite games of all time.
