Has anyone else ever tried getting a shine when your riding Yoshi?
You see Yoshi's head ducking out of the way of the shine then Mario and Yoshi both cheer...it looks cool :P

I think that there are 30 blue coins on each level. I know that there are 30 on Bianco Hills anyway.

I am now on 61 shines, just passed the half-way mark now.
Just did the 'Red coins on the water' shine, which I had a little difficulty with at first.

i have 72 and i cant get past the stupid clouds on the last level (fire bit, nearly close to complating it.
i can't beleave how short mario is, (i know there i alot to do but) the main game is short, if you want you can get 100 coins and find all the blue coins, that will take along time, but i wish they made more levels so you have an even more of a variity.

I've got about 42 I think. I can't really remember 'cos it's been a few days since I've touched it. Am I the only person who is disappointed by the game?
Sure most of it is quite fun but there's very little justification in it being a Mario game. It'd have all been much better if Nintendo had produced a proper new Mario title (I wasn't expecting the evolutionary step that Mario 64 was) and kept this little thing as a sequel to Luigi's Mansion.

I found one of those shine outlines on Gelato beach, I like spraying the blue birds on top of the hill for more though, oh have you swam with the blue fishes they have 1 too.
I was able to get 100 coins on Pinna park easily without even going inside the park itself! Just go to story 8 and get rid of all the enimes on the beach and after you have spray the sunflowers then after that spray all of the sand around you for more hidden coins.
Also on pinna park go to level 2 where the thing shoots out missiles, get the missiles to destroy the baskets that hold the blue coins.
