So how many Shines you got so far?


I have got 0. because it hasn't arrived yet :-(

Want to collect all the shines before facing Bowser for the first time?

Simply lose all your lives in corona mountain, and when you start again, you'll find yourself in the plaza, all flooding disappeared.

I have 16 shines after my first Sunshine session!

I have 64 now. :)

I finally got one for getting 100 coins in that Gelato Beach level.
I was running round looking for just 2 more on 98 for ages, untill I realised they were RIGHT up-there in the sky, too-high even for the Rocket Nozzle to reach!! So I have to do a lot of 'sproinging' and jump and spin my way across, through the sky, like a bird.

It was so frsutrating. I was trying all last-night to get them but I just couldn't do it on 97! So glad it's done now though. :)

I also found a 'Secret Shine' in the very-first world you enter.

I just got a secret shine in Bianco Hills, bringing the total to 38 :D.

Well it took me time to find it but then again I didn't know about it until I used the rocket to take to the skies above the shine gate, but that was when I needed something to ge the shine after I cleaned the spinning shine statue at the shine gate.

I done both of them and they were really tough. I only just found out about the Monte Village level today.

The volcano's quite tough especially if you're not that good at steering your own boat with FLUDD. Other than that the rest is a breeze. Then the boss which I would hardly call "Tough" it takes you about 2 or more lifes to do it in, and even then I had 22 when I finished it.

I have got 96 shines and have now completed the pinball secret shine and the 'red coins on the water' level in Ricco harbour, the ones I had most trouble on.

Now reached 86 and Shadow Mario seems to have flooded Delfino Plaza. Gonna go near the volcano to where he is.

I have 60 now

I've now got 52 altogether. Or is it 53...?

Got a few of them from the Haunted Hotel place, and that one where you have to use Yoshi to get through the roof's maze took me ages!
The Casino's cool, but it's a shame it's not as interactive as the Pinball Machine is in Sonic Adventure. You'll love that game for that alone when it comes to the Cube next year. :)

How many Blue Coins do you have to have collected in total then?
I have no idea how many i've got so-far, must be over 50 as i've got a few Shines for trading-in 10 at a time.
