This is actually a true story, and took a while to work out by detectives. And I'm not suprised.

Deep in the forest was found the body of a man who was wearing only swimming trunks, snorkel and facemask. The nearest lake was 8 miles away and the sea was 100 miles away. How had he died?

I'll tell you the answer in a few days.

1) He "signed his name in the snow" and it melted.
2) He wrote it on the moon or something, so you can't see it in daytime.

That's all I can think of for now....

1) It's a sealed room so no sound comes out.
2) The bulb might be encased in some sort of shade so that it is impossible to accurately see if the filament is broken or not, and you may not be able to feel it, so therefore you might not be correct.

If Grix had WORDED his PUZZLE more FULLY then you MIGHT be right, looks good to me anyway.

1) Flick the first switch on and off very rapidly for 5 mins, if you hear the bulb blow, it's that switch. If not, repeat for switches 2 and 3......
2) Flick the first switch on. Leave it on for half an hour, then flick it off and flick the second switch on. Go into the room. If the bulb is on, it's the second switch, it it's off and it feels hot, it's the first switch. If it's off and it's cold, it's the third switch.

Just try and tell me that ain't correct!

A man signed his name at night, when the sun rose his signature vanished. He was not using photosensitive ink of any kind. Explain why his signature vanished.

Press the first switch and go into the room. If the light is still off, then it's one of the other two switches. Shout to your mate outside the room to press the second switch, and if the light comes on then, then it's the second switch. If it doesn't, it's the third switch. If the light was already on when you went into the room, then it's the first switch.

the light is already on and one switch is pressed.

(sounds right, this took a little longer to figure out.)

eithe that or their is a wire leading to the bulb from one switch, although i'll go with my first answer.
