Called Pots & Pans.
It's about being in a job you hate when you know you should be doing something else, following your heart in whatever it is you wanted to do as a kid. It's about chucking away the security of a career and risking it all on the off-chance you'll get where you're supposed to be, instead of convincing yourself that what you are doing is ok.
We used to play it live, haven't done for about a year but we will at the next gig. Last time we played it, the entire venue was singing along "No more 9-5" for the last minute or so.
To look out and see a roomful of people singing along is something I'll never, ever forget as long as I live.
Pots & Pans
Got a bad taste in my mouth
Chew me up and spit me out
Don’t you know what I’m about?
Well I should have seen it coming
Should have spent my money
And changed for the day
Get away
And just let it out
Now there’s nothing left to spend
Time and money soon they end
But I know I’ve got my friend
Well I thank you very much
Gonna keep in touch
Write me a letter just to make him better again
Tomorrow I’ll be there
No more 9-5
And I’ve had my share
Now I’m doing fine
Tomorrow I’ll be there
Nowhere left to hide
Tomorrow is a day
Gonna keep you away
Ifs and buts?
They never seem to pay
Tomorrow I’ll be there
No more 9-5
And I’ve had my share
But now I’m doing fine

I'll try and get them to a manageable size and upload them somewhere so others can hear them.
I love what I do and I love my boys.
No more 9-5
Cheers lads
Any idea what quality I need so they're not 30mb+?
20 megs of space, without a bandwidth limit, or so I'm led to believe... if you're interested I'll e-mail you the passwords and stuff.
I have them on my desktop at burn, but 16bit stereo quality so each song is about 40mb.
I'll redo them over the weekend and upload them somewhere next week.

Not sure what it is about those lines but something appeals to me. Weird how lyrics do that.
We finished recording our second album at the weekend actually. There really is nothing better than writing your own stuff (stuff that actually appeals to you rather than stuff you think will sell to random members of the public *cough* Papa Roach *cough*).
And the singing along thing is cool too. Although we only ever managed to get people to do it to Fake plastic trees (and only one time too) as it was the only one they knew.
Top stuff.
