Sony have now confirmed that there will be a PS3 and it should be finished sometime in 2005!
There's nothing up on their site yet but if the last two console from sony are anything to go by then I just can't wait for the PS3!
Maybe it'll be more powerfull than the Xbox!

Now that would be cooooooooool!
My PS3 design would be in the shape of a small golden piramid with the cap-stone at the top missing.
And the games themselves would be little piramid-shaped (cap-stone-shaped) cartridges which would slot into the apex-point of the console.
I'd also name it the *PlayStation Free* - because every game would boast non-linear free-roaming gameworlds.
Also, Sony would give the console away for free to anyone who buys two ro more games.
All competition would be well and truly destroyed.
