'Yet more proof that Nintendo has something very big planned.

It's been rumoured for a few weeks that Nintendo have a big announcement coming towards the end of this year. Now Japanese magazine V-Jump have also hinted at a huge announcement to be made before the end of the year.

It's been said that this announcement will spark a huge boom in the sales of the GameCube worldwide. There has been much speculation regarding what the announcement will be, but Nintendo are never predictable, so who can guess what it will be?'

From IGN/Cube-Europe.

Eh? What you think?

I think it will be the online capabilities, but it has to be cheap otherwise they just lost themselves a customer! (:)

lol

But seriously, I can't thik of anything they could announce that would create a massive boom in Gamecube sales. Surely it must be online planes or they've bought out a company to replace Rare...

It couldn't just be a game..

Ohh, sounds like a chance for a far-fetched conspiracy theory or two...

1. Online is going up, and with a good package.

2. New colour(s) available

3. Price cut or value package thingy

4. Panasonic Q to go global

5. 2+ cube networking using the high speed port

6. Nintendo have bought microsoft. Just to get rare back.

7. Nintendo secretly switched rare with an inflatable replica strapped to a tear-gas grenade, which is set to go off when big willy stops by to visit his new team

8. Nintendo have managed to buy several senators and are swopping bags of haribo for political favours from george bush, who will address the world with a speach starting 'why can't we all just get along...', then go on to hide outside a phone box until bill gates goes inside and run round it with duck tape so he can't get out.

9. News will gradually snowball about the proposed announcement, which will eventually be released a day early, but not really say as much as everyone hoped.

10. Richard branson has bought up ninty, and is unveiling ealry plans on his new console, the virgin box. It's supposed to be very small.

Ah, it's late, my brain's tired (done a lot of work today). Laters.

I can only guess but lets keep our fingers crossed that it'll be something like...

1. We've actually got 40 secret titles in the making.
2. We've completely bought out [add huge developer here e.g. Rockstar, Konami, etc].
3. Our online service has been perfected, will be free and will be available now with 40 games.
4. GameCube will be reduced to £99.99!

Or...

5. That they DO make an announcement and it's POSITIVE.
