Capcom have announced a planned November release for "Steel Batallion," a tank combat game for Xbox that will be packaged with a custom 40-button game controller and will sell for $200 in the US so £200 in the UK.

Just look at the Xbox and PS2 launch prices. $300 in the US, £300 in the UK.

See?

The game will cost the same as any other, it’s just the custom 40-button game controller that’s very expensive and puts the price up.

Maybe so, but with a game as much as $200.00 (which I think is highly unlikely - where did you find this out?) something MUST be done.

That's £65 more than the US price! Trust me, if CAPCOM have any respect for their customer's intelligence, they'll know to bring the price down.

US PRICE / CURRENT EXCHANGE RATE = UK PRICE
$200.00 / 1.5 = £133.33 OR £135.00 ROUNDED.

You see?

Nah, I won't be buying another GC. The only reason I would have ever considered it again would have been for Conker's - and we know whats happening with that. ;-)

You'd have to be a seriously hardened and devoted Xbox/Capcom fan to choose this over a Gamecube and a couple of games.

Speaking of which, after selling your Gamecube after not liking Rogue Leader and Luigi's Mansion, have you any plans to buy one again?
The launch games probably weren't your cup of tea, but the best is yet to come...
