Capcom have announced a planned November release for "Steel Batallion," a tank combat game for Xbox that will be packaged with a custom 40-button game controller and will sell for $200 in the US so £200 in the UK.

That sounds like a great feature, having a couple of seconds to flip open the cap and pressing a big red button. I can imagine myself in training "You can press the red button to eject from your mech, this should only be used in emerg-" *already been jettisoned(sp?) into the air after the word button*

Its more likely that MS will be after a share of the company rather than a buyout, because of Capcoms agreement with Nintendo.

Unlikely I think. Unlike Rare who no longer had a contract, Capcom do have a contract with Nintendo for exclusive rights to the six Resident Evil games, which means they're unlikely to become a Microsfot 1st party.

Plus they have a long and succesful history in producing good quality multi-format games, I'm not so sure they would turn their back on that.

I might buy it, although the Eject button is encased in a plastic flip lid. (Just like in the Movies) I'd be tempted to push that all the time!

Keep that online thought in mind mate. The sequel to the game is going to be playable on X-Box Live. :-)
