After ages of playing and completing it numerous times, Grand Theft Auto has finally lost it's touch.
I don't know why. But it's weird. I look upon it as just another game, don't realy notice it, just lay it on my shelf between MTV Music Generator 2 and Jak and Daxter - games I haven't played since about May.
What is wrong with me?
The freedom - The fun - The sickly joy - It's all just spun past me now.
Is anyone else getting this.
Well, I guess after a month It'll all be well and GTA will be my most-played game of the month.
Until that happy, day:
I'll miss you, old friend.
I really hope Vice improves in:
The police Ai, for said reasons.
The Gang AI. I want to run up to a gang, kill one of them and then have them chase me all over the place, so I can either lead them to traps or get every gang against each other and sit up high with a sniper rifel having a lot of fun.. I don't want the gang to stop chasing me once i get out of their 'turf'. I also want them to follow me along train tracks. Jump off at the last second.. :-)
Cars. I want them to flip/roll a little more easily. i really want to roll a car down a real big hill.
Limits. If I want, I want to walk into my Boss's building and kill him. I don't care if it leaves me stuck in the game, I'll just re-load. :-)
Pedestrian AI. I want more people to scream, more people to join in (A war between every gang AND pedestrians would rock). I want old ladys to come over and hit me with bags. I want some people to keep guns in their pocket to make beating on anyone much more risky.
And many more things which i can't think of right this second.

I hate that as well. The other day (Before my disc starting playing up) i was around the vacinity of the Construction site and the Yardies, Yakuza and Columbian Cartel were having a massive shoot-out and what did the police do? Go after me for stealing a ruddy car!
Not because i'm bored of it, the ruddy disc is duff!
Compared to MGS2, the shooting is very simplistic. You just hold up your gun, BANG, and they die. Even with the Sniper Rifle, they only really react in one of two ways. On MG, you shoot them in the hand, there hand flies out; Groin area - bend down; Head - drop down; Foot - start hopping around. I wish they had this on GTA3. Also, the gun isn't very satisfying, on MGS you get a nice sound, even with the silencer, but you have to use the AK to get a real bang from the gun.
The police are also shallow. Should a triad come up to you and blow up your car, the police will drive past. If you punch the Triad, the police run over to you, and you either get arrested or die after your wanted level goes up. Not what we'd expect in this day and age.
I do hold secret hopes for Vice City though.
When one person dies, it's the other persons go.
Mw and my girlfriend have killed a very big number of people and blown up 223 cars :-D

It'll cost about 3 grand just to get my PC good enough to run Worms, let alone Mafia :-)

Just to clarify for you, it's coming out on November 8th and its is 2.5 or summit times bigger than the whole of Liberty City.
Hope that helped.
