well this happened on my PC if you have creative play center open that and go on the settings and adjust them jus try all of them and it might work
heh, have you installed the drivers yet? if you havn't got the CD/floppy you can download them off the net, trying finding out what company made it (open your PC up and look at some serial numbers..etc) most soundcard websites have upto date drivers on them.
