Ninty have delivered Dev Kits to third party developers, who they are publishing games for. No other company has been supplyed any!! They were told as of last week that if they wanted them, they had to sign a Gamecube deal with a publisher and apply for a Dev Kit through them!!!

Nintendo will not be supplying tech support directly, but through publishers and I think this could seriously be the downfall of the GC, it did kill the N64 before it!!

Seriously, what Nintendo are trying to do is the complete opposite of what Sony did with the PS2. Nintendo probably are lying to the developers, some actually know that Nintendo not giving them a kit is a good thing. The majority of people are going to but a Nintendo game at launch and this leaves the developers games in a little bit of a grave, if Nintendo don't allow more than twelve games at launch then every company who released those games will have a nice profit and can look forward to more success.

I feel Nintendo are trying to help others and themselves, notice how not every game is Nintendo at launch and probably the biggest is Metroid!

Yes some of the developers want a kit, because they want to test and try out new gaming ideas or continue to polish what they started, but if they want to release it at launch they better think again!

:)

You may find I posted on here saying what I saw on Nintendo's own website, that they do not have enough dev kits to give to everyone who wants one!!! They are being greedy and trying to keep the biggest slice of Gamecube pie to themselves at launch (if what you say is true)!! This would also mean they are lying to developers, and I don't think they would appreciate that!!

So er-no, are they lying, or being honest??
