In fact i got an i dea, lets have a word game. I write a word, and u reply with the first word which comes into your head.

Well like I said, theres the main mission and 2 or 3 sub missions on the same map, Im still on the first main mission after 4 days play.

Ive found myself fighting for some of the resource areas, theyre marked out quite clearly on the map but some are difficult to get at if the opposition has got there first.

Heroes have special fighting abilites and can boost morale among your troops, and each have different special abilities, some of which are quite cool to see in action.

Are they long missions because 10 doesn't sound like a lot. Is it like the previous versions in that there are many factions to work through so it's more like 10 missions each?

That sounds a bit like Age of Empires style type thing. Are resources 'easy' to come by?

And the idea of heroes in the game is quite

Heroes? What do they do? The monuments and other buildings like that must have some purpose otherwise it would just be a waste of resources.

The game sounds interesting though.

Come back from work... not much to report.

Hello to you, especially my usual Sunday companion, Silent Thunder.

Hey all. Afternoon, Lindgren.

Another lazy Sunday for me, mainly spent in the garden with my dog. And I had to draw stairs for art, always a pleasure... :-/

Its good because theres more to do, 10 main missions but in each there are sub missions. In the Custom Maps where there are also mini missions if you want to do them. You have to build a lot more than in previous Settlers games as the settlers need somewhere to sleep and farms to eat from. There are upgrades for most buildings, and up to 3 upgrades for some of them. The way building mines works is much better I think in Settlers 5. And the idea of heroes in the game is quite nice I think, and theres also monuments and building in this one that are there purely to make you settlement look nice which makes a change from all buildings having a use.

You'll have to go a bit more in depth into why Settlers 5 is so good Lindgren. It won't run on my computer, I wouldn't have thought, but I'd like to know what it's all about as I've got them all so far, except Settlers 2.

Cool. Been ages since I played Settlers.

I nearly bought a whole bunch of N64 and Saturn games today. But I was running late, so didn't.
