Yeah, Im glad I can repair mine myself and do updates myself, I make a bit here and there in Uni doing people in my classes' too.

Id hate to have to pay shop prices to get anything done to my laptop.

Garages are just the same. If you can do the repairs yourself, you save a heck of a lot on labour costs.

I bought some extra RAM today for my laptop and my Mums PC and at the service desk they had a price list for repairs, installations etc. Rip-off merchants isnt the word for it. For something like installing memory they charge 35 quid plus labour, its a five minute job!! Ridiculous. I did both computers in 10 mins, so there on their prices I would have earned 110 quid! How they can sleep at night Ill never know!
