Damn punks
1. nintendo helpped a lot.
2. nicks system off zelda.
3. who made that character, Nintendo.
4. how long has it been in development, 3 years.
First microsoft is not nintendo, i cant see them letting them spend 3 years on one game (also 5 games on the xbox by rare wont make the box sell will it, it needs more than that.)
Im only disliking rare at the moment becuase nintendo has helpped them a hell of a lot over the years, and i know money speaks, but surely they have enough money by now.
I havent seen a game by rare on their OWN since perfect dark, and even that had hints of how bad they were in the last levels.
Ever since those developers went they havent made much have they? last levels of PD were bad, conkers bad fur day also had THQ helpping and star fox had nintendo helpping.
If it was 2 years ago or in a few yearsd when rare prove they are STILL as good as they were, on their OWN then yes it would be a big thing but until they prove they are how they USED to be i cantbe bothered what they do.
Rare i am waiting to be corrected at how good you are.
> Retro aren't bad, but they'll never replace Rare.
You can't say that, thats like going back 100 hundred years and saying Nintendo will never go from making cards to making the best consoles.

Hopefully something better than JFG, DKR and DK64 multiplayer. Full scale Perfect Dark style multiplayer will do me, then there'll be no need for Rare to stay on Cube.

Ah - how sweet !
Otherwise you'd be really looking forward to their new games.
I know that the Gamecube will do just fine without them, but their games are so good as to be worth getting an Xbox for.
Anyway, let's alter the subject.
Starfox multiplayer? I wonder what Rare have planned...
own.

Not saying they will but i'll miss their games.
To me, they have done nothing for quite some time now, and for all their pretty screenshots, the GC has nothing to show for their time.
The GC lineup is incredibly impressive, taking away Rare diminishes that line-up by a comparatively small degree.
And I doubt that Rare would enjoy working for Microsoft any more than Nintendo, since MS are far less likely to stand for Rare's idea of a project timescale.
The important thing with any console is the games. If Rare games are being released only for X-Box then hey ho - you either buy an X-Box if you just have to have that game - or you get something else that is available for the platforms that you do own.
Rare on their own will not make or break the Gamecube.
