So I got this new operating system thing and it has actually cured my PC of some of the crap which was crashing it before.

It looks all colourful and friendly but what it doesn't tell you on the back of the box is that it hurts your eyes.

*itches eyes*

I don't kid either, stare at this screen for a few hours and you'll go mental.

Erm, so what I wanted to ask was what cool things they got on this which I can't find? And also how can I move that big green start button in the corner? It just don't go man...

download tweak XP from the powertoys section of the windows XP site. Then you can rid yourself of the annoying bubbles that pop up in the corner to tell you things that even a pensioner would know after seeing the bubble for the twenty billionth time.

Oh and if someone's logged in at the same time as you (on a family computer they might be) press CTRL+ALT+DLT and go to the users tab, right click on the other user and click on send message, then leave an amusing computer related message.

I left a message for my dad which read:
"Windows has detected that you are a Crewe Alexandra fan. To confirm Windows' suspicions and receive information on this team, please click OK"

and because it flashes up in a message box when they log back on again, it has an okay button. My dad then thought that it was an uber-clever version of Windows...

Don't ya just love geeky jokes? :-)

My school got about 30 new computers with XP on. First thing they did? Wiped it all off and put 98 on.

Can't blame them though, the log in program wouldn't work. It's quite important :D

Wish my school allowed gaming and to let you go on certain sites.

You can't go on anything funny, or in some cases...not funny.

I mean, if you got a good network (very good at our school being a technology college) then why not use it to it's full use? Stupid people. Well, i suppose it is a school...

Oh, I turned the brightness down on my monitor and it don't hurt as much now.

My school has just got about 80 new P4 Dell PC's all with winXp on!

Too colourful for my liking!

Urgh...

Better than the old PCs though, now we can play games on the internet where they actualy move quickly!

Teachers got monitoring software though so they can view what we are doing!

Funny though, you just write a nice little comment at the top of your work about the teacher!

Good when they moan at you!

No it's nice, looks modern. But the big Green button sucks.

They shoulda made it blue or something. Or silver like the rest.

Blind fools.

You know why they are blind? They spent to much time testing this OS.

You can set the taskbar to be the same as the old windows one if you really don't like it.
