A wonderful suggestion by the lovely Sleepy. The return of a thread full of riddles. Lets see how smart you all are. :D

Here, I'll post a few to get started, can you solve them? If you want, post your own. Remember, no cheating ;)

----

Can you name three consecutive days without using the words Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday?

A beggar's brother died, but the man who died had no brother. How could that be?

A word I know, six letters it contains, subtract one, and twelve remains. What am I?

A traveller arrives in a small town and decides he wants his hair cut. According to the manager of the hotel where he's staying, there are only two barber shops in town - one on East Street and one on West Street. The traveller goes to check out both shops. The East street barber shop is a mess, and the barber has the worst haircut the traveller has ever seen. The West Street barber shop is neat and tidy; it's barber's hair looks as good as a movie star's. Which barber shop does the traveller go to for his haircut, and why?

When we had this lecture we had the usual "candlestick or 2 faces looking at each other" optical illusions but none of us had been asked this question before.

Kind of opened your eyes / brain to not to be so blinkered in your assumptions.

Yep spot on.

At Uni we were told not to make any indication we'd got the answer if we solved it.

There were about 100 blokes and 100 women who were asked the question.

No blokes at all got it - most women did.

Sexist aren't we guys :D

Is this psychological test to do with who will actually say: Maybe it isn't possible?
