Why oh why would I buy a GameCube over a PS2 or X-Box.

I have a Dreamcast but want to broaden my horizons but why buy a GameCube?

Please, someone, anyone explain to me why. I mean no DVD ability, less power, rubbish game line-up. I don't understand.

Will it go on-line, will it be expensive, will the on-line games line-up be any better than the PS2/X-Box.

Please, please, please, someone explain to me, I just don't understand. I mean it isn't any better than the Dreamcast which (sadly) is now resting in the console graveyard.

Someone, anyone, It's driving me mad.

The GameCube.

Turok evolution comes out on the 27th I think.

I'm not trying to compliment the game at all (haven't played the GameCube version yet so I can't really comment on it - other than I thought the multiplayer on the X-box version was good), I was just disproving that fanboy's comment.

Based on that, TSP2 is my new FPS of choice.

Doesn't matter how long they delay Turok. No tweaking is going to save that game from being pony and trap.

The only way it could get better is if Acclaim went back to the drawing board with half of the ideas. And thats being nice.

if you call £140 expensive

the only reason the gamecube has more games is because they make the games quicker but not as good and the ps2 spend more time on them to perfect them not that im saying there perfect.

We buy a Games Console for the best games, not for the add-ons that come with it, If you want a Dvd player go with the Ps2, but if you want the best games {as you can clearly see from the list Maverick has produced} go with Gamecube. The price the Gamecube is, clearly indicates that Nintendo understand that a 'Gamer' wants to play games and don't add another £50 for a Dvd Player. Go with what you want. :D

Well the games list alone sells the console.

Yes exactly, I only manged to read up the end of the games list, I thought it was too long Mav, but I think he should read it all.
