I was wandering if you could spare a moment of your time to advise me on personal statements. I'm writing mine at the moment. Applying to Oxford (Merton & Hertford/Jesus), Warwick, York, Durham (University) and Bath for Biology, and Bangor for Marine Biology. I'm predicted AAB for A-Level, and I reckon if I work I can push it to AAA (We don't take general studies round my way. Because it's gay and worthless.)
So, I've got a quote from a famous biologist who's name I'm sure I'll recall any minutre now riduculing Louis Pasteurs theory of germs, and I'll use it to demonstrate how the field of biology is always changing and I want to be a part of it. Then I get stuck. I've got plenty of extracurricular activities to chat about - Duke of Edinburgh, squash leagues, scuba diving e.t.c. I just don't know how to write it into a personal statement.
So, any advice would be good from you guys, being at top universities like you are. Although Oxford is, of course, better than Cambridge or LSE ;)
Cheers.
Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
Ahem, sorry about that...

Sure looked nice at the Open Day I went to. Sat eating lunch in a cafe overlooking the river - was nice. And it's got a good reputation, good league standing, and a good sports funding. Thats cool, I want to get into the uni squash team wherever I go.

Oh shut the hell up. Glasgow is crap, and I'm not going to put up with your gloating crap about getting good results when your pitiful exams don't measure up to the stuff we have to do. Ever wonder why you apparently did no work and still got good grades?
Because Highers mean sod all.
In total i was 4 grades short but stil got in :D

Yes Stryke Glasgow University is really crap you twunt.
A-Levels are indeed harder but may I remind you I set 5 subjects... and also the hardest possible course... ah well I don't care anymore.
I'll chat to you about in on MSN, LSE boy. When do you go back?
