i loaded up my computer this mornin and it said some files were missing or corrupt,
himem.sys
dblbuff.sys
and ifshlp.sys
so i copied the from my other computer, but it still doesnt work so i am confined to msdos. When i boot my computer it gets to the second windows screen and then resets itself and keeps going through... so any ideas?

yeah i saw that but where did you put them? not sure if the PC will search for the files although most times i've put files in random folders and they've been found automatically.

doesn't that mess your files up? I would imagine it's a good idea though, although maybe a last resort idea... it might be over doing it.

Nope. It'll just install Windows over your old setup and correct any errors. It won't delete anything, just correct things so your pc will run again.

It takes about 30 minutes. I've done it three times.
