so i copied the from my other computer, but it still doesnt work so i am confined to msdos. When i boot my computer it gets to the second windows screen and then resets itself and keeps going through... so any ideas?
A:\filename.name copy C:\Windows
or somethin like that

yeah i saw that but where did you put them? not sure if the PC will search for the files although most times i've put files in random folders and they've been found automatically.

just stick the CD in the drive and boot your PC.
Gary Glitter? thats a bit distateful :D it's annoying that people can find files on your hdd unless your blow it up alhough I bet some people will still get something from it!

B)The comp wouldn't start normally so i started in SafeMode, but dont really know what to do. It doesn't matter now, read my last post.

doesn't that mess your files up? I would imagine it's a good idea though, although maybe a last resort idea... it might be over doing it.

Nope. It'll just install Windows over your old setup and correct any errors. It won't delete anything, just correct things so your pc will run again.
It takes about 30 minutes. I've done it three times.
