Osama bin Laden.

That's what a couple are trying to name their child but are being refused CNN says. Take a look...

"BERLIN, Germany -- A Turkish couple living in Germany who want to call their child Osama bin Laden have been refused permission by German officials but are to appeal to a judge.

Names can only be registered in Germany if they fulfil certain criteria. A name must clearly identify the child's gender and must not ridicule the child or be offensive.

'Hitler' is banned as a name for that reason"

Do you think it should be allowed?

I think it's just the parents after a bit of attention from the media, nothing more.

The only reason I could think they would call their child that is because they were supporters of the terrorist network.

The kid will just get a name change anyway I would think if it all goes the parents way.

Stupid none the less though.

Yes I completelt agree with fuzzy,
Calling their child Osama bin Laden is very unfair and it would probabaly cause confusion and complications in the chidls later life.
the child would no doubt be picked on in School.

What's more it's an insult!

Disgusting

It's very unfair on the child - Imagine how much grief with mildy funny names like say ... Rankine .... gets - then imagine how much grief someone called Usame Bin Laden (I believe thats how they meant to spell it) will get.

Unfair.

I agree that a parent should be able to call thier child what they want but calling your child Osama Bin Laden is just wrong.I could go on for ages about it but ill just keep it short.

Lets say th kid does get called that, hes gonna go through life being tought(dont know how to spell it) how evil Osama Bin Laden even though he`s called that.

Not to metion the bullying
