The story is a load of crap anyway. The score was given by the OFFICIAL Playstation mag which means it is a more than slightly biased opinion...

TimeSplitters 2 does look impresive on PS2

I think the game looks good and all but i dont think its one of those games which people line up for hours for, games which really lift the bar in gaming.

Also i wish they would stop comparing FPS to Goldeneye, it will never be beaten in the eyes of people who were in their late teens becuase it was a game which hadnt been done on a home console before.
So if we forget that fact then really we should be comparing them to perfect dark as its better than goldeneye just without the james theme it just dosent have that edge to it.

Im sure timesplitters come very close to beating perfect dark , maybe even beating it and it should with twice the power.

Ah yeah, but the official playstation 2 magazine is crap at reveiwing games, so I don't really trust that score.

I'm not saying it's going to be a bad game, if anything it could be one of the best FPS of the year, but perfect? no game is perfect enough to score 10/10, all games have weaknesses.

I don't think any numerical rating is useful.

Mario All Stars on SNES got 99% in one magazine.

No game is that close to perfection.

10/10 is a no go score. That means that the game is perfect. No game is perfect and ever will be. It must have one incy wincy flaw/frustration there. That's why mags that rate in percentage are better.
