Out of 5 is even enough.
0/5 isn't worth touching.
1/5 is generally crap.
2/5 not that good - fairly flawed.
3/5 average - not bad but not great
4/5 a good quality fun game. Worth getting.
5/5 Classic. Almost (not doesn't have to be absolutely) flawless.
A must have by all degrees.
That's how CVG did it 4 years ago when they were class!
That's how Digitiser do it now.

That's bullcrap, and you know it. Just seeing a high scoring game won't make you buy it. For instance, Grand Prix 4 got great scores across the board, but doesn't interested. Given a choice between that and Stuntman, a game that seems to be 'ok' in reviewer's eyes, I'd still choose it because it sounds cool.

You are an employee at NOM arnt you, loads of people complained about the way they score and they came out with stuff like how out of 10 is better.
But this is why it isnt.
Games which are good will get 9/10 and the person buying the game will then need to decide out of them. If it was out of 100 one of those games could be 5% better and then their mind would be made up.
Maybe .5 is better or even games marked out of 10 but then when it gets to the 9 they start putting points

Ugh. What's the difference between a game that gets 77% and one that gets 78%? Often, percentage scores are obviously randomly picked from a spread of about fifteen. Out of ten scores are the best, as they offer more scope than just being out of five, but also a clear indication of how good the game is.
10/10 does not mean the game is flawless, it means that it is incredibly great. I believe IGN has it right with scores in different 'disciplines', an overall score, and closing comments.

Yeah i find that, when i read a multi format mag i want it to be unbiased that way you will get the true mark for games.
Also i prefer GC other the others but i still believe PS2 is good and it doesnt deserve its marks to be lower purely becuase they "dislike" the console.
What's with everyone calling me this annoying name Tilty? teach me for having such a stupid username I guess.
> TimeSplitters 2 does look impresive on PS2
Looks better on Gamecube and Xbox.
No honestly it does, the graphics are better.
Not that there's much difference though.
