The "Xbox Games" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
Please not that none of this article has been confirmed yet, and it's all just rumour.
Activision didn't have enough money, but Bill 'Richie Rich' Gates's company was willing to knock down 350 million for them. This is about 500 million Euro/dollar.
Microsoft is said to have held a meeting recently with Rare in a hotel near Twycross, the developer's base. A deal was made, and Microsoft will make make a big announcement at their X02 event in Seville later this month, where the company will showcase new exclusive Xbox titles.
The rumour continues. Perfect Dar Zero will be developed exclusively for Xbox. That would also be the reason why we haven't heard from it anymore since last year's E3.
Hmmmmm is this true, you guess is as good as mine.

oh i dunno that was pretty long LOL but it's a fair point.
With the kiddie image stuff, I'm saying that although Ninty games are playable, some people will see them as kiddie and they shouldn't be made to feel like idiots for having this opinion as they are looking at games from a different perspective. Thats where my comparrisons came into it.
I probably wouldn't mind Mario Sunshine - but I prefer other games nowadays more than Mario and the same goes for other people.

Yeah. I think it was just Banjo you didn't like.
Perhaps you'd enjoy Mario Sunshine.

Now you're onto something different.
You're talking about appealing to ignorant gamers who do judge a game by it's setting. I expect you to know better! :-P
Anyway, there are "adult" games for these geezers - like Resi and Eternal Darkness.
Even though Nintendo don't make many, they're two-a-penny from third partys.

Yeah, there are more things to be done, but each advancement is becoming less significant and no match for a new idea.

Gannon apeared in the first one (Nes) but that barely had a story.
Yes, Gannon also appeared in the Snes one and the N64 one, but although he was the bad guy both times, they both had very different storylines.
By the way Whitestripes, calm down a bit.
I know Res is irritating but there's no need to go ape on the rest of the forumer's. :-)

Why, you hoping I'll throw my dummy out the pram like you've been doing lately ?
As for the Emperor thing, er, its a tagline mate. If posters in this forum hated it, I'd change it, but they don't seem to care so it stays - simple.
I don't consider myself high and mighty, but at 24 I've played loads of games over the years and I have a fair decent idea of how companies work and I can tell you now, Nintendo are not anymore loving of its buyers than Microsoft, Sony or Sega in the past.
If you don't like the fact that people have opinions that aren't pro-Nintendo and stick to their guns, then don't come in here. Its not like I'm hounding you in the Nintendo forum so I think I'm entitled to my own opinion in here.
oh and :-)
Nintendo develop for everyone - Children, Teenagers and Adults. This is hard to do and they do it perfectly. They're not a kiddy company, they're a family one. FULL STOP!

And thats rich coming from self-professed 'X-box forum Emperor'. You seem to think your some sort of high and mighty being thats never wrong. Well whats wrong?
