Reading a mag the other day I found out how to speed up my PC when it is booting up by changing settings in msdos.sys.

The thing about tips like this is you can only really come across them and you can't really search for them as you don't know they exist. (if you know what I mean!)

Anyway, anyone got any cool tips for improving Windows 98 by a method like this?

Yeah there is. It's along the same lines as if you run away from someone and they shoot a gun at your back, the bullet will never hit you - works perfectly in theory, not so well in practice...

In which case, you must redefine 'touch'. It is pointless having an verb which can apply to nothing, thus touch should be defined as 'having an effect upon'.

This fits into the usual definition of something - when you touch a window, you leave a finger print etc...

If you redefine 'touch' in that way, then actually most things 'touch' each other.

Anyway, most things do touch, since energy can merge.

You don't much simpler than 2 types of energy....

Everything you see around you is either kinetic energy or potential energy

It depends how you define "touch". In reality, nothing "touches" anything.

Is'nt there a theory in which the pc will never actually touch the ground, something about moving half distances infinatly, i wish i could remeber it, i think it has something to do with quantum theory, some of you might know what i am talking about, and if i remember correctly i agreed with the theory.

True, but you have to keep it simple for the luserz.

I've got a degree in Chemistry but I can't remember much of it. I was just interested :-)
