ok so the subject line was just a catchy title.
but really these nintys are having a laugh, there's like a handful of games that are good on the GC and a shed load (a big shed to) on the x box. and the PS2? well the games companys can't be bothered with it anymore so why should i LOL.
well i might get stuntman and tekken 4 but still.
anyway what i hate about these nintys are the games they say are so good really aint. ok so it's a matter of taste and if i was 5 1/2 i'd love a GC but i'm 20 and i want blood and gore.
most GC owners must be about 10 as they argue like kids and get all up tight if you slate mario and everyone knows sonic is better.
if i had my way sega would still have a console and it would be ninty the game developer and i'd have me sega machine next to an x box and live happlying ever after knowing all the nintys would be crying as they haven't got the guts to buy a non nintendo machine muahahahahhahahahaha

At this rate this thread might end up overtaking that "X-Box Stinks" thread in the number of posts it has.
Without getting dragged into this too much myself, I can see a similar view as Res (although not as harsh). I've grown up playing the likes of Mario and Co, so I can play the odd game like Blinx or Mario that would be considered a cutesy game and maybe childish by a lot of older people that have only recently got into games.
Overall though, I find that these games don't offer as big a feeling of excitement as they once did. As I said, I don't hate them, I can play them but in less quantities before I get bored with them.
I would still by the odd title in this kind of game, but I wouldn't want my console to mainly be focusing on this area which I guess is the reason why I ended up being disappointed in the GC. Yes it has adult and more universal games coming out, but not enough for me personally.
I still like fighting games a lot, but I find that FPS games such as Halo along with games such as Project Ego, Mech Assault, Steel Battalion, WWE games, Star Wars: Galaxies and Phantasy Star Online give me a bigger buzz nowadays.
When I was younger, I would have been jumping up and down at the news of a new Mario game but now its really not such an important thing to me anymore. And before anyone jumps down my throat with the "you skanky fanboy" crap, I don't hate Nintendo - its just that right now they aren't delivering enough of what I want. I bought a GC before and it disappointed me.
I like games such as Resident Evil, F-Zero and Metroid. I would have liked Zelda a lot better if it hadn't taken that cell shading direction. I'm not saying I need blood and gore to enjoy games, I love games that focus on being part of a team such as Halo, Turok to some extent, Battle Engine Aquila and Unreal Championship.
My ideal game would be a huge multiplayer with thousands of people all playing and interacting. They would either take sides or just stay out of a major conflict. I guess Star Wars: Galaxies is one for me to watch.
For fun I like to play wrestling games with friends or maybe some demolition derby style games such as Crash.
I'm not the type to get overexcited over realistic racing games. The one racing game I do like a lot is F-Zero, but I can still play and really enjoy the likes of Project Gothem and Gran Turismo.
Overall though I have an X-Box because its giving me the games I want - especially with the future titles that are on the way. Its not that I'm biased to one console, I'll buy any console if it offers a good amount of what I want to play. Unfortunatly the GC isn't doing that for me right now.

Resurection this is a hat forum people come on here to have discussions, just cause I don't have the console doens't mean I can't come in here and discuss. Obviously i didn't mean this exactly talk about picking a post apart, i could take any sentance out of your posts and make it look bad or dumb.
what i ment was i want a game a bit more grown up than fluffy clouds and dodgy looking plumbers.
eventualy the GC game line up will be like the N64 loads and loads of cute crappy platform games.

Nonsence. The game is what "feels" right, not the console its played on.
Because you may have grew up playing the Mario games it maens Nintendo have a place in your heart, as their games where part of your life. By saying Xbox doesn't have this is just showing that yor arn't giving it a chance and that you're letting the whole nostalga element get in the way of more importaint factors.

I don't agree there Cyclone, Nintendo and Sega are superb at creating the gaming feel, but I also believe that Microsoft even at their first attempt have created a gaming atmosphere which I enjoy deeply. I own a Dreamcast and I am well aware of Sega's class especially when it is coming form their own console, but a statement like "Microsoft can only dream" does not justify your level of posting, you are having a go at Resurrection for silly comments yet I feel that one was very unfair. Don't forget that this is Microsoft's *FIRST* console and Nintendo have been doing this for over 10 years now, this can only work as an advantage!
