Basically, I've got two computers here and want to create a direct connection between the two.

I havn't got any network cables and all I got is two ISDN lines!

Is there a way, or a program I can download so that I can make a nice long connection between them?

I want to play Red Alert 2 against the computer next to me, and this is the only way that might work!

Need help quick!

We will next time I go there...

It's just that we didn't have anything to use and with an ISDN port we thought we could do it.

We couldn't get the game to work online but that was because of the ISDN IPs being the same or something like that!

He changed one of them to a 56k this morning and it all worked!

Shame that I can't play now as I left last night!

Still, he's ordered a Gaming Kit from SR to link the computers together...

You can also buy a USB to USB betwork kit, you would be better of doing a Peer to Peer LAN (local area network) than a WAN (wide area network) as in the WAN you will get very high pings and most games would probably be very slow or unplayable, but with a LAN you would be fine and get low pings, it will only cost you £30 or so or go on an auction site see what they got.

Westwood, RA2's server browser.

To be honest though, unless you use IPv6 (which I doubt RA2 will support), you can't play two games at the same time, as RA2 will not know what IPs to connect to, if you just connect via the ISDN. TBH I think the only way to do it is with network cards.

(pssst, no, he means WAN, he wants to use his ISDN)

Not really a viable option, although it is possible, it'd be better to buy two cheap network cards and a bit of crossover cable.

Have you got network cards? Just buy some crossover cable and plug 'em in, if your operating systems are even half decent they'll sort them selves out. Best supply each of the computers with IP addresses. 10.0.0.1 and 10.0.0.2 are my prefered IPs.

(Pssst. It's called a LAN)
