As some of you may know, I work in Woolworths and my job description pretty much is; Sit in a chair at a checkout counter, take money off people and p-ss snobby people off by not putting their stuff in a bag for them. But while I do that very demanding job, there is music playing in the background. This music usualy sucks, it's mostly RnB and pop crap, but today was different...

The mangers were away, the girls who usualy work the entertainment department were doing other jobs, so the guys had choice in what was played. First was Nickleback who are not my favourite band but it was so much better than all the other music we play there. Then about 30min before closing we set out the CD's fr tomorrow, Bowling for soup was one of them, and someone decided to give it a play. Bowling for soup are already one of my favourite bands, and they're new CD is great, go out and buy it tommorow....don't give me that 'I'm working excuse'. I only heard first 4-5 songs, but they were great, if you like Girl all the bad guys want, you will want this CD.

This thread isn't just for me to go in about my work, I want to hear your opinions of the band and their new album (Drunk enough to dance) tomorrow when you all* buy it...

*Teh term 'all' excludes the user 'CDouch' as he has no money and can listen to the CD for free at Woolworths until he can afford it,

Holy F-ck I'm happy. Come out of college and go into modern music while I wait for other people to finish and the bus, see a sign seeing they sell tickets for The Zodiac in Oxford...where Bowling For Soup are playing. I ask how many they have left...3. I get my a-s down to the bank mucho quicker and get money then get back to the shop. They had two left, and I brought them both (one for a friend....or highest bidder :D).They guy told me I was a jammy c-nt bevause they were the last tickets available. Anywhere. None at the door, none in any shop and no more online. I'm not sure if that is exactly true...but if it is, damn I'm lucky!

You got your ticket yet Stryke?

By the way...£6

My brother actualy kind of knows Finch (even has rights to a track of theirs on a cd compilation him and some other people make/sell.) So I've heard some stuff by them. He also has lots of promtional stuff etc from them and a hoodie.

I must admit, 'Lets Do It For Jhonny' is much better than their second album.... I'll tell you who is a good band....... Finch. A young fairly newcomer band that is absolutely brilliant. Trust me you dont even need opinions.... only this one. Go out and buy their album 'What it is to burn' it is possibly one of the best albums ever. I think. If you want a song to represent them is suggest downloading Finch - Grey matters which kicks as*.
