As some of you may know, I work in Woolworths and my job description pretty much is; Sit in a chair at a checkout counter, take money off people and p-ss snobby people off by not putting their stuff in a bag for them. But while I do that very demanding job, there is music playing in the background. This music usualy sucks, it's mostly RnB and pop crap, but today was different...
The mangers were away, the girls who usualy work the entertainment department were doing other jobs, so the guys had choice in what was played. First was Nickleback who are not my favourite band but it was so much better than all the other music we play there. Then about 30min before closing we set out the CD's fr tomorrow, Bowling for soup was one of them, and someone decided to give it a play. Bowling for soup are already one of my favourite bands, and they're new CD is great, go out and buy it tommorow....don't give me that 'I'm working excuse'. I only heard first 4-5 songs, but they were great, if you like Girl all the bad guys want, you will want this CD.
This thread isn't just for me to go in about my work, I want to hear your opinions of the band and their new album (Drunk enough to dance) tomorrow when you all* buy it...
*Teh term 'all' excludes the user 'CDouch' as he has no money and can listen to the CD for free at Woolworths until he can afford it,

Jesse James were more crap than good and were on stage for way too long.
Bowling for Soup ruled. Chris was stoned out of his face. Think he went through about four spliffs while on stage.
"Belgium" ruled. The p***-take on Avril whatsherface,Shaggy and Eminemineminem was cool.
All the usual "You are definetly the sexiest crowd we have seen"
"I wish I could pack you all into my suitcase and take you back to Texas with us"
"We should take you all to a Dodgers game...and Back to mine for Tacos!"
Some dude lost his shoe and Jaret deomonstrated on how to use it as a crowd sufing "cockguard"
They spent bout 45 min on stage,went off and came back to play one more song,this time with Spunge,which was purdy good
Think I've broken my hand from being squished in the crowd. Ouch

Wellllllll first of all we were waiting to get in and some guy noticed Chris (the big one) standing around, so we went over. Then the others came out and they all went down the road to some restaurant to do an interview. Then after the show had finished everyone was waiting around outside, but the band weren't about so we went down to Tesco (just down the road) to get a drink (believe me you'll need one after it) then when we came back we noticed the guitarist so got him to sign stuff, then we saw the others. After a little bit the crowds went away so you could just stand there talking to the band.

Damn that ruled so much last night. Farse and Jesse James did about 5 songs each then Bowling for soup just kept going and going. One of the higlight songs has to be their different version of Belgium (if you see them live you'll see what I mean). Also the guitarist (I think he's called Eric) was so damn stoned, he even had it attached to his guitar then took a quick puff every little while. I got loads of stuff signed - the back of my phone, my BFS cd, a happy meal toy we found and Gary gave me his MTV pass and signed that too. I got loads more to say about it but I can't really be bothered (too tired right now) but if anyone else is going, you're in for a good night.
I'm really annoyed because Bowling For Soup were meant to be playing at the Army and Navy in february in Chelmsford but as it's closing down they won't be playing there anymore. :(
