I know how clever some of you guys are in netcode so I hope you can help me out. I know it's possible to put personal images in the URL bar (I'm talking Internet Explorer here, for SR its just a page with E on it) but I don't know how. If anyone's got the code for doing this I'd be very appreciative. And how big can the image be, and what file type? (pixels)

Thanks very much in advance.

aha! After some rooting around I found out some more stuff and now my icon works (kind of). I changed the size to 16x16 and changed the colour from 256-bit to 16-bit. Now it works (browsing in list view on Windows Explorer shows it :) )But a .ico is an invalid file for geocities! Never mind, its not too long till I get proper hosting.

Once again thanks very much for all your help.

Thank you all so much for your help. www.geocities.com/theoffspring2k1 <----- the site that may have a URL icon.

In my experience it's a bit random whether they appear or not. Sometimes I see my icon, sometimes I don't, and I haven't changed the file or anything. Adding it to favourites does seem to increase the chances of it being loaded! :o)

root folder is the main folder for your website, so the folder that your index.html is in.
