I know the current selection of X-box titles (Halo, JSRF and DoA3 interest me the most) but what of the future games? On the Gamecube I know what game I'll be hoping to get in Christmas 2003, on the X-box I know of some game called Morrowind and the Halo sequel... what else is there? Why would I want them? What's so good about them? And what is Morrowind all about?
Come on persuade one of the forums largest Nintendo fans to get an X-box!

LOL. Unintentional humour there.
Splinter Cell is one of the most highly acclaimed games ever to be developed, after taking the best graphics award at this years E3 it also won the best Xbox and PC game. Tom Clancy is notorious for his very tactical games, but after a very mixed reception with Rainbow Six he has decided to alter the tactics and concentrate on gameplay. Due out this November Splinter Cell puts you in the role of a US agaent sent to save America from middle-eastern talks about Nuking the US and going for global order in favour of them. You play the role of Sam Fisher, Sam is a man who can (sounds very cheesy but just watch the game adn you will see), not only can you now hold enemies hostage but you can also do the Van Damme splits between 2 walls so that enemies beneath you will not be able to spot you current position. The ability to absail, pick you own locks, climb drain pipes, fire camers into rooms so that you can watch the room from a different area and interact with any object in the game makes this title the most anticipated game of this year (in my opnion and many others). The game is spread across 11 missions and 24 levels, each level is different from the last and it will require you to use different tactics in order to succeed. The environments are incredable, the detail is awesome and the level of interaction is unlike any you will have seen before! IGN and GameRankings are already depicting this as the Game of This Year and so far it looks like it could well be! Splinter Cell is going to put gamers into a situation that will require skill, stealth and a lot of negotiating! Watch out for this game towards the end of this year as I am abouts to put a pre-order in for my copy! In the words of OXM, "come on Novemeber get a bloody move on"!
Operation Flashpoint is truly a game of distinction, the game was originally desgined with the US army in mind, but as the scenarios became more and more interesting Codemasters took the game on and decided to release the a PC version known as, 'Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis'! Set on an island during the Cold War you take on the role of a rookie soldier who you take through training right through to being squad leader. The game grabbed my emotions and kept hold of them, as soldiers died I became more and more invloved in the game. Working with soldiers from the out-set of the game gives you the chance to build up a relationship between your men (if you get my drift, its not the Navy!), seeing your friends get shot on the battle field really has an effect on the way the game plays. The sounds range from extremly tense to very silent, the effects are brilliant, guns fire, men scream and tanks roar! My PC could only handle the game up to a certain point befoer it became unbearable to run with the amount of slow-down, with the Xbox all this will be resolved! This is one of my top 5 most anticipated Xbox games and I can't wait to play through this epic game! Don't miss out, the operation needs you!
Rainbow Six: Raven Shield is yet another Tom Clancy classic! Unlick Rainbow Six the original all of the tactical planning has been taken out of the game and the emphesis is on stealth and shooting! Working with team-mates you cover a range of missions which sees you stopping a bank robbery to saving the president. For those who didn't like Rainbow Six (I am one of them) this game is promised to be completley different. The graphics are going to seperate the first person genre from the rest of the pack pushing the Xbox to its limit. Multi-player support will be available but Xbox Live hasn't been mentioned as yet! The game is due out towards the end of this year and it is promised to dewliver one of the most mind-blowing gaming experiences that consoles have to offer. Look out for this game and remember Tom Clancy needs you!
Other games I missed off the release list that I want include:
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance
Steel Battalion
Falcone: Into The Maelstrom (possible Halo challeneger)
Crazi Taxi 3: High Roller
Colin Mcrae Rally 3
Toca Race Driver
Timespliters 2
Reign Of Fire
Mafia (not yet confirmed but said to be an Xbox title)
The Thing
Grand Prix 4
Silent Hill 2: Inner Fears (updated PS2 version with a lot of extras)
If you want me to explain a particular game just ask and I will be glad to help.
Buy Morrowind, unless you can get it on the PC, because it's much better. I was thinking of posting a topic about why everyone should buy it, so look out for that.
BLiNX
Project Ego
Splinter Cell
These three games are reason enough for anyone to buy the console.
But I'm sure the PS2 & GC could pick out three specific games which will be feature new and original gameplay ideas.
All I would say is that BLiNX & Project Ego feature revolutionary gameplay ideas.
Blinx: Timesweeper is a cutesy platform/adventure game with a difference, you can litrelly control time! Blinx himself is a cat, a cat that works at a time factory, when time goes wrong blinx steps in as the hero! You are presented with a vacuum cleaner which sucks up anything into time space, anything from enemys to items scattered around the vast levels. Once collected enough items you gain a time control, these are basicly the ones you find on a video recorder eg Pause, rewind record ect. For example, there is a huge enemy to vanquish but is moving to fast, switch to slow-motion and the whole gameworld (except blinx) moves slow giving you the advantage. Other things such as if you accidently fall, switch to rewind and you can go back to the place beofre you fell! Theres loads of things that can be done with blinx's powers, especially the record function :) Aswell as amazing gameplay the game is set to have breath-taking graphics. The time control system is something that cannot be done on other consoles, not sure why but its something with the memory and hard drive that allows this to happen. In last months OXM it previewd blinx, and showed him using the "Pause" control while walking through water, litrelly the water stops moving, and a small trench is made as blinx walks through!
This is set to be an excellent game.

I would, but I can't be ar$ed.
-calls for garbe-
But how do we know that half of them won't be a load of toss (with a list THAT long, I expect atleast 80% of them to be...)
Instead, pick out 5 games and write WHY Dringo should want them.
The names themselves are nothing.
One or two are self explanatory, but the rest mean nothing to him.
He's got a MUCH bigger list of Gamecube games.
You've got to point out (with reasonable detail), why he should want these Xbox ones more.

Yeee-Haww!
