All I can say is (and I know how phony this sounds), don't sweat it mate.
Been in the same boat as you when I was at school and it improves one hundred fold when you leave.
These people that make you feel low, they aren't your friends.
Friends don't do that to each other, this JAR tool needs to realise that and either act like a friend or go back to phony posturing to appear cool.
I went through similar times at school trying to avoid bullies, I'd miss the train just to get some peace and quiet. Nothing I could do about on the way home though,so just suffer the torments and go home.
The thing to remember here is nothing that you feel bad about is to do with you.
So what if you aren't the most popular kid in school?
So what if you aren't the fastest/strongest?
It doesn't matter outside of the protection of school-world.
What you need to remember is school is filled with people that can't get by on their brains so they need to try and act "cool".
Which usually means singling out the "different" kids and hassling them.
It will change though, be it college or job or Uni, because by that point, only the people that want to be there, are there.
I know it's easy to say "just get through it", because I know how rubbish that sounds.
But I can't tell you how much there is outside of school just waiting for you to grab hold of and enjoy.
Girls tell you you're cute? Enjoy it, don't question.
And if "mates" laugh at you, so what?
They're not mates, they're using you to make themselves feel less guilty about their failings in life.
It's easier to mock someone else for not being the same than it is to take responsibility for your own mistake.
The most important thing is to not take anything anyone says to heart.
Because only you know you. They insult you? Big deal, it only matters if you respect those people.
And by the sounds of it, you don't. Nor should you.
I've gone from being the quietest, shyest, most introverted kid in the class to being who I am today. I'm happy, have good mates, enjoy my life and play in a fantastic band with no worries about "the ladies".
There's no reason why you shouldn't be exactly the same.
Well...maybe not exactly the same, one Goatboy is enough for this world but you get my drift.
Doesn't matter how cool or hip your mates think they are, I bet from now until the day they serve you burgers, they'll never express one tenth of the emotions or honesty you do.
Which makes you the biggest man out of all of them
Good on you mate, keep plowing through it and wait for the rewards because they definitely find their way to those that deserve it.
