Yes, us and jap games, played on a uk machine, will output a ntsc signal, which your tv might not be compatable with.
However, you can buy devices which transform an ntsc signal to pal format.
Just plugs in between your cube and tv.
As i understand it, in terms of picture quality, well, it won't be as high a standard. However, with these things, you get what you pay for, and if you get a good one then you won't notice any difference in picture or sound quality.
So there you have it, all is not lost for importing. It'll just cost a bit more.
And a bit of advice - when you get a signal convertor, make sure you can return it, if you decide you do want a higher quality one.

Well actualy, the nasty takcy ones are 40 pounds and the really good ones can be up to the price of 300- 2000 pounds !! Cheaper and easier to wait for the pal games i say.
Check issue 65 of NGC if you don't beleive me(pg 16)
If your tv doesn't do ntsc, you'll need a nstc to pal convertor box to be able to play us/jap games with freeloader.
that if your TV isn't NSTC compatinle you'll have to buy something that will let you
i think.......
Blimey.
Just a shame I can't be bothered to fork out an extra £20 for an Import game.
Oh, but there's always the American versions...
:-D
Ask me again in 6 weeks :^P
Yeah, thast's why.
Lik-sang do one, but there might be quite a bit for their shipping.
Try radio shack, tandy, maybe dixons, comet. I'd either go for a high street store (so you can return it), or one where you know the quality of the signal output.
And, um, thanks?
:^P
If no
WHY NOT?
I took ages finding you all the cheapest priceson the sites and not even so much of a thankyou!
;)
