"Why do my friends think that the PS2 is better than the GC?!!"

Most of my friends say that the PS2 is better than the GC. They just make up stupid reasons EG "The PS2 is better than the GC because it plays DVD's" but the whole point of a computer console is to play games on it not DVD's and they say "The GC has only half the power of the PS2" and "there are only 2 good GC games and they are Burnout and Tony Hawk's 3" I mean look we have the entire Resident Evil sereis, Mario Sunshine, Starfox Adventures and Eternal Darkness. They are just pre judging the GC.

buy a better game for the GC at least one which deserves 90%+

as for saying a final fantasy game try something else as nintendo are getting final fantasy games, and most lickely 10 too, plus the connectivity between the GBA and GC will add a few extras to the game that wont be on PS2.

say a eclusive game for the PS2 and i see what i can think to say about it.

You must have a rather strange mind if it's wanting you to play Final Fantasy 10 for 52 hours. :-)

I played SMB for 19 hours and then got boared.

So far I have played Final Fantasy 10 for 52 hours and it still excites me.

I, for some reason, have never let people who go on about one console or anything in life such as "i got a a new pair of shoes and they cost £60" annoy me and for some reason i just think to my self "oh yeah well money can buy shoes but braincells arnt fo rsale mate".

So what if they think PS2 is better all that has happened is that their parents and trying to be trendy and thought " i know ill buy them a PS2 as it is meant to be the best console ever". They then get it and due to the fact they do not wish to making their mum sad they say i love it and when there parents are making sure they arnt getting surfing on the net for things they shouldnt be looking for they have no choice but to put how good the PS2 is. that or they cant afford a good console.

Maybe some even say it to make themselfs think "yeah this is the best" so they dont cry themselfs to sleep.

At the time being GC loses big time in software department. But give it time until big N's first party Triforce (Zelda,Mario,Metroid) comes out.
There is no competition, really.

i dont think the q cube will be any use in an argument, because they will not only have to probably import it, but buy a freeloader and power converter. unless the q hits british shores, we might as well forget it. i can imagine the laughter if you brought it up to couynter the ps2's dvd player: 'well fat lot of good it is to you, its in japan!'

You could just buy the Panasonic GameQube if you need a DVD.

You mean.. not everyone really has a dvd? The horror.

Try putting marmite on your bond flicks, should keep the video away. Maybe it'll just knaw the side of the sofa instead.

The Ripper said "The GC loses out on DVD player (like everyone hasn't got one anyway), and on backward compatibility, but for tech spec and average game quality, it blows it out of the water." but I don't have a DVD player I just have a video recorder which eats up my James Bond tapes.
