Most of my friends say that the PS2 is better than the GC. They just make up stupid reasons EG "The PS2 is better than the GC because it plays DVD's" but the whole point of a computer console is to play games on it not DVD's and they say "The GC has only half the power of the PS2" and "there are only 2 good GC games and they are Burnout and Tony Hawk's 3" I mean look we have the entire Resident Evil sereis, Mario Sunshine, Starfox Adventures and Eternal Darkness. They are just pre judging the GC.

Maybe if you didn't want completely biased views, you should've asked in a forum such as FOG.

Not true. GameCube disks can hold just as much as DVDs and FF games have been confirmed for GC.

have to disagree with this.

not having ever really payed much attention to ps2 releases (on account of not having a ps2), i couldn't really say how many other good games there are, outside the gt3, mgs2, ff, gta3 sphere.
But given that burnout doesn't get all that much of a mention these days, and it's one of my favourites on the cube, i think it's fair to say that there are a good few other gems out there for the ps2.

Anyway, from a ps2 owner's point of view, i expect all the nintys seem to mention are ssbm, smb, pikmin and luigi's mansion. admittedly we're just a few months into the cube's life, but i think it demonstrates that there will always be a small number of games hogging the limelight, regardless of how many other good titles there are.

PS2 owners alway go on about 4 games final fantasy MGS2 GTA3 and any racing game.

this maybe because racing games tell you what to do with little signs saying turn right and stuff so you dont really need any skill.

anyway what im saying is that those are the 4 game sthey always talk about when GC owners are always naming diffrent games cause there are so many good ones, although of course games like SSBM mario sunshine and things will always get a bigger mention.

Dont lie. Square scrapped work on an FF game on Game Cube as the disks are too small to store the game on. It would take 7 of the Game Cube disks at least to store the whopping FF10 on.

What's to argue?

You seem to enjoy the Final Fantasy games more than you enjoy both SMB and Melee. Nothing wrong with that. It's what appeals to you.

I myself own Final Fantasy X and have only put in around 10 hours with it thus far. But, the urge to play something else and concentrate my efforts on that has thwarted my FFX progress, because at this time, I don't feel the need to play FFX.

I can honestly say though that I've put more time into Pro Evolution Soccer on the PS2 than ANY other game I've owned. On any platform. Ever.

betting is that GTA3 or MGS2 will be one of those games.
