Why would you wanna buy an Xbox when you could buy a full spec PC, this so called Xbox its just like a pc but your using your tv and not a monitor.

Whats this new XBOX LIVE another scheme to boost sales!! Well sure, to use it you'll need to buy a pack with mic etc costing $49 in America. $49 all they asking for to boost popularity, yeh right.

Why would you want a Xbox, it may have good graphics but thats all. Long live the SONY with their PS2.

On top of that there are already some superb racing games out on the console:

·RalliSport Challenge (Xbox Exclusive and best rally game I have played)
·Moto GP (Better update of PS2 and the best Motorbike game on the market)
·Project Gotham Racing (Xbox Exclusive and best racing game in my opinion)

On top of that there is the soon to be released Grand Prix 4 which is only available on Xbox and PC, this game has been hailed as the best F1 racing game ever created and a challenger for the best racer ever created. From the articles I have read the game sounds fantastic and the video footage on this months OXM shows off how good this game actually is, I can't wait to get this title! As you said Driver 3 and Colin McRae Rally 3, but on top of that there is:

·Burnout 2 (wasn't keen on the first but still a good arcade racer)
·RalliSport Challenge 2 (first was great)
·Project Gotham Racing 2 (can't wait for this one)
·Grand Prix 4 (as discussed above)

The Xbox is a racers palace and after owning a PS2 for 8 months I only ever played one good racing game and that was Gran Turismo 3 and even that got very boring after a bit (even though I clocked over 128 hours of gameplay on the game), having said that playing any game for that amount of time would eventually prove boring but it was the the constant racing all the time on tracks with 80 laps, this quickly became boring and after un-locking the F1 car the game was very easy (bar car exclusive competitions)!

The Xbox and the other consoles have still got great racing games coming out such as Driver 3 and Colin McRae and many more for the future.

The list will expand.

Yeah is suppose. But still there is some top class racing games on the Xbox, take Project Gotham Racing, in my opinion one of the most realistic racing game i have ever seen.

Yeah, NOM stated that you'd have to get used to the controls. But they also said this would be done withing the first half hour of play, and it's a joy from then on.

Actually, it has been confirmed that Colin Macrae Rally 3 IS GameCube bounds, as are titles such as Wreckless and True Crime: SOLA. This was taken out of the Official magazine.

Maverick I know, thats why I posted a thread in the Gamecube section. Its either the Xbox or the Gamecube, Gamecube is a lot cheaper. But it wont get such good games like Colin Mcrae Raly 3, one of my fav games for the PSX. Plus it wont get other great titles.

But the cube has got the best Resi Evil coming on it. Mario Sunshine scored a massive 95% in GamesMaster. I'll decide which console is right for me in a few weeks.

Don't get convinced into doing something you don't want da_1_n_only, just because you're trying to make up for your mistakes. Have you considered keeping your PS2, or looking at the GameCube? Or perhaps a cheaper alternative - a DreamCast or Game Boy Advance. Read up on it - a lot. It's a pricey business so don't rush into anything.
