Why would you wanna buy an Xbox when you could buy a full spec PC, this so called Xbox its just like a pc but your using your tv and not a monitor.

Whats this new XBOX LIVE another scheme to boost sales!! Well sure, to use it you'll need to buy a pack with mic etc costing $49 in America. $49 all they asking for to boost popularity, yeh right.

Why would you want a Xbox, it may have good graphics but thats all. Long live the SONY with their PS2.

Can we stop all this stupid power talk! One guy from EA Canada talked about how he spent a lot of time working with thw GameCube and after pushing it to its liit it reached what the Xbox can produce, but no one spends as long as he does just to match another console, he did it to satisfy his needs, but Game Developers don't have the time to spend 6 months working with the polygon count on one object, they have a wider range to deal with. I can't understand why *SOME* Ninties don't except that the Xbox is the most powerful console, granted everyone does have different opinions when it comes down to games and I understand that.

Maverick all I ever see you do is say "but the GameCube can do this..." and I pointed it out to you before, if we wanted to know about the GameCube we would have purchased one, can't you just not talk about it for 10 minutes whilst posting in the Xbox forum? Oh and about the polygon count on the Xbox, Dead or Alive 3 reaches 122 million polygons per second including all the games engine and this is a proven fact! The characters alone in Dead or ALive 3 contain 22 million polygons each, that is more than what the GameCube produces for most of there games, not just the charaters!

Any site promoting Nintendo is obviously going to say its the best, how do you know that they aren't giving false information? Everyone seems quick to say Microsoft and Sony are exhaggerating but Nintendo are doing just the same thing, they are trying to promote their product. Can we all just stop the power talk and try to get on? It is really starting to bore me now!

It's actually been proven time and time again that the X-Box and GameCube are just as powerful as each other, neither coming out on top. This is proven at the site below:

The reason the X-Box has a polygon count of 125 million, and the PS2 has 75 million is because Sony and Microsoft quoted impressive, but blatently flase statements. These figures can be achieved, but that’s if you remove textures and similar things. With these things included, the PS2 is reduced to about 10 million tops, and the X-Box and GameCube 15 million tops. Again, this is also proven at the site above.

I see you are going for the Gamecube, Excellent Choice, But if your into racing games it might not be that worth it.

I'm proper looking forward to Sega GT 2002 and Racing Evoluzione, Then maybe a spot of Colin Mcrae Rally 3, ooh and a Bit of Project Gotham Racing 1 & 2 with a pinch of Rally Fusion to finish off.

:-)

More Polygons = Better Graphics

Although the cube has quite a large amount of polygons

But the xbox has more....

Ha Ha very funny mate.

The xbox is powerful but the chip Nitendo use in their console nearly matches the Xbox, it nearly has the power of xbox but it cant beat its power.

Why does the Xbox have uch a high polygon thing, while the cube has between 6-12, the lower the better isnt it or what?
