If you let newbies vote this time, we'll get Natbuc or someone as notable. Don't let them, and it'll be someone good like Mr Happy.

But that'll take the fun (and the spam admittedly) out of FOG. It's funny to see people ramble on about why they should be a member of the forums with a gold name and so on.
Also, Mandatare is right in a way. If people vote rather than wait for a private choice, then at least we know we're getting someone that is popular with at least 20 people, and not just with the SR staff.
Either way we witness more spam, but either way it can be more fun.
:-)

I disagree with that idea. Staff have their favorites and they may pick someone no-one wants. Posters voting is a good idea but it has to be perfected before these arguments stop.

If notables are to be voted in, then it should be a private vote/decision between the staff.
No newbies, no spam accounts, no morons, no debate, no problem.

I would do, but at the moment I don't even want to lift a finger (rather ironic)....and I've felt the same for the last 3 days or so.
Dammit, I can't even enjoy my holidays.

Do a big story and we'll all love you again.

Actually, I only have a PS2 and a GBA and I detest my GBA. But everyone forgets about me here anyway, so phwoof.
This is a campaign thread, isn't it?
:-)
I know that SSX Pro made a suggestion, but people make suggestions all the time in forums. Someone even recommended me once! :-)
He's obviously earnt their respect in some way and the posts I've read of him are pretty decent. I know he's pretty much out of FoG, and the fact that the Sony forum thought it needed a "Notable Representative" was pretty stupid, but at the end of the day, he deserves the gold as much as most of us.

Pb was on here today. But I agree about FM.
