The "Freeola Customer Forum" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
To keep this thread for URLs only, I'm gonna start another for comments so please post your web addresses only in this one. :-) Hopefully we'll be able to point out mistakes and maybe some of the more experienced of the forum users can offer some guidance as to where sites are going wrong.
I'll start:
www.drinkfosters.co.uk
Because I need to get it out of my system. ;o)
It's not been updated since the dawn of time.
Ah well

Certainly is!

What about the smiley afterwards? I was looking for comments about the design really, not the content. This site will really only be seen by me and my friends so it's not an issue. When the content grows there will be a lot worse stuff than that. I had to edit that dossier extensively to remove all the stuff I thought would be considered dodgy. I didn't write it by the way...

I like the dropdown, it saves space and does the job well. My only problem is that it looks right in Mozilla and Netscape only. IE doesn't have it aligned in the table properly.
I've took out the pop up as you suggested. It only works the first time and after that it gets annoying.
Cheers for your feedback anyway! :-)
I've just built a chromeless site using code downloaded from http://www.microbians.com Must say, it looks wicked. Just right for what I'm trying to do.
But I'm having some trouble when viewing it on different machines. Two machines, both running IE6. One loads the pages fine, the other reports a JS error (must be a local problem.. some setting somewhere??)
I'm not asking anyone to debug it for me, but if anyone comes across the problem on their browser when trying to view the above site, and recognises the error, can you let me know. Something about objects not being recognised.
Scratching my head here...
cheers
tell me how crap my site is!
www.phi11ip.com
Have a look at the downloads and videos, there are some real beauties there!
You're brave, asking for comments considering how well you you took them the last time!
... your comments will be filed in the rubbish basket.
Sure you can handle them?
Anyhow, *really* don't like the comment 'luring children into his ginger-bread house' in your dosser. You should think what you post as in this day-and-age. That could be an innocent in-joke to you, but for others looking in, it is pretty dis-tasteful. Kill-joy, maybe. But thats life.
Other than that, ditch the js popup box (pet hate) and perhaps add a menu instead of the dropdown (personal preference) and its a tidy site. Nice logo but the dropdown spoils it.
> Have I missed something? :-)
Nope, I merely thought I saw something thats like 20 pages back a few days ago ;p
