Todays problem is the time limit that you get on shareware programs...
Is there any way I can edit the program so that I can turn off or lengthen the time limit that I am given?
There must be a way of playing around with it!
All the good stuff is shareware and I wanna use it!

:p I was just showing the reasons why you'd want to buy it,
customer service,
full manual,
pretty box,
nice official CD, documentation...etc
a) it's a different money scale, and people sometimes buy cars before driving it for themselves.
b) cars are essential to everyone, people who steal cars don't always do it because they can't afford them.
c) people on the internet are faceless, if we stole a car after/during a test drive, they'd have all our details..etc and we wouldn't be able to get away with it :p
d) 'stealing' software is more widely avaliable and easier to do, anyone and their dog can *cough* software.
very valid point though Garin :D
as cjh said, would you pay for something you could get for free? although it's dishonest and if we were working for the company e.g. Macromedia, it would be a very different story, thing is, we're not, I can't afford the software, but I want to use it, i'm not making any money from the software (yet) :p and i'm not copying > selling it on, so surely theres nothing wrong? if I couldn't *cough* the software I wouldn't buy it, so i'd be loosing out, surely i'd be able to live without it but the choice is there for me so I don't have to live without it, lucky me.
What were you refering to?? Buying it vs. Downloading it???

Hm, if you aren't justifying it then why the list of excuses? :)
Well, we can apply your logic to anything though. A 30 minute test drive isn't enough to decide if I want buy a particular car therefore I'll go steal one and maybe if I decide I like it in a few years, I'll pay for it then eh? :)
That you don't have any money isn't an excuse, theres plenty of things you cannot afford and I'm reasonably certain you aren't taking them without paying for them, so why is this any different?

I'm not a big fan of boxes but they look cool :p they take up a lot of room though, not really needed, you get customer support from Macromedia which usually helps, really wish I had some from Windows but it ran out ages ago.
The manual is what i'd really want, not sure but I think they're pretty big, official tutorials, hints and tips, not to mention a full list of where everything is and how to achieve certain effects, You might use the software and think you know alot about it but I bet theres loads you don't know or havn't found yet.
Anyway, i'd like to buy it for the CD, official stuff seems so much better, although most people might not think so.

lol yeah ok ;o). You would be very incorrect if you believe everyone is honest and will pay for it if then can. Whether someone can afford it or not, if these cracks are around and people are freely giving them out (which is illegal, I believe), then why would someone pay for what they can get for nothing???
I do see your point about not wanting to spend £300 on something you may decide you don't want to use, but if the developers allowed you to use the software for to long, like I said before, how would they make their money???
If your not willing to spend the money on the software, then, well that's just tough, you can't use it.
Its great that there is good quality software available for free, but you should also respect that people who spend a lot of time making these programs and wish to charge for them, its their way of living.

Not trying to justify using it, just saying that, i've just left college and I couldn't see me spending my money on software that I might not need, a 30-day trial is hardly enough to tell you wether you want spend $300+ on a piece of software. What if i'd bought it and then decided I wanted to become a zoo-keeper or an Astronaught, what would I need the software for? i'd have just wasted a lot of money, whereas in my current situation, i'm learning from the software, and in time I'd like to buy the software, but as I said, I havn't got the money right now and unless it starts growing on trees I really can't help that.

I really hate such excuses. Its just peoples silly attempts to justify them doing something wrong and illegal.
