Ok things weren’t looking good for Nintendo before the release of Pokémon because the N64 was not doing too good.

So then came along Pokémon, it was a big craze it made Nintendo millions and at the end of the year (or the year after that I can’t remember) they reported that they made a profit of $4.6 billion.
This had Nintendo on top of the world and made up for the profits they didn’t make from the N64.

But like all good crazes it ran out and soon the games only started selling to actual gamers instead of people buying it to be “in” the craze.

Then they released a load more Pokémon games which all equalled rubbish, so what does Nintendo do, well they then release Pokémon Gold and Silver and they were too much like the last ones and turned up becoming too repetitive.

The next Pokémon needs to be real different with new things and we don’t need more Pokémon, they are as annoying as those trophies are on SSBM.

Now of course Nintendo made lots of money, which is good, but there was bad things such as the fact their “kiddie” tag got bigger and they had one of the best things ever, Pokémon, and they go and mess it up.

Lets hope Nintendo don’t do the same to other sequels too good games, although they don’t do many sequels.

Well, Nintendo have already got their twist on the RPG formula (Zelda) so it would be good for them to remain kings of the turn-based battle gameplay.

I've got Red and Silver and they both rule, Silver has got so many new additions to the game it really is superb. Obviously all crazes die out just look at Pogs and Harry Potter. The thing is the games will still sell millions anyway, despite Pokemon not being so popular anymore.

Well, to tell you the truth, I was very impressed with every Pokemon game. It was just the merchendising that was the downfall. The games, in fact, sold 100,000,000 copies world wide. That should shut those Pokehaters up, eh?

I think no, know, you are right that pokemon will sell loads no matter what, but you have to admit the gold and silver were too much like the red and blue, lets not talk about yellow, ive got yellow blue and yellow and i got bored with gold about 5 mins in to it and i only continued with yellow because it was still a craze.

I hope nintendo dosent lose the formula that makes pokemon what it is but adds to that formula to make it better and keep the gamer thinking is new instead of another pokemon blue.

Pokemon Gold and Silver featured so much addition that made the original concept even better...

Pokemon Ruby and Saffire well I myself think it might be like the older titles in fact I HOPE SO!

Pokemon was a craze but like other Nintendo game crazes (Gameboy and Mario) they do fade away but the console or title still sells millions each time a new one is released.
