Hi! I've been looking for a copy of Paper Mario for aaaagggggeess, but I can't find one anywhere, because most shops are now stocking SameOldBeatEmUp 23 or SuperRacingor something.

Anyway, if you do have Paper Mario, could you please anwser the following questions...

a) How long does it take to complete?
b) Is it worth it?
c) Will you sell it to me/ consider swapping it?

If anyone does have it, but would consider swapping it for Wave Race: Blue Storm on GC, then reply here or contact me on [email protected]

cheers.

The scenery and to some extent the characters were poorly drawn but the graphical special effects on the gameplay effecting Water was stunning. Secondly yes the controls are VERY difficult but I had been warned that it is hard to get into and harder to master... so I gave it the time to improve and thank god i got into it all at last! Using the shoulder buttons and tight corner turning is essential. The old Wave Race shines through eventually.

In a way it's the most original mario game so far(Excluding SMS)
The way bowser captures peach by burrowing under her castle and lifting it up is pure genius. Evil genius. But still genius.

Paper Mario is quality.

Bear in mind it involves a lot of turn based fighting though. Dont worry about that that much though. I hate games such as Final Fantasy but absolutley loved Paper Mario.

Was one of the best games on the N64 in my opinion. Even though there is no speech the characters still have thier own sort of special ( i cant think of the flippin word!) i dunno...style? The characters have thier own special character...hmmmmm....yep

And the story line is quite different to the norm. Well, not much but different in a sense. Okay, its the usual Bowser snatching Princess Peach, but this time you actually find out that Bowser has a hard on for Peach. He wants her...bigtime...

Anyhoooo, All good fun. Although I could never part with ANY of my games. Hell, i woudnt even sell South Park. And South park is proper crap.

I'll sell you this empty can of Tizer if you want it though. Actually there is a little bit of drink in there but its probably mainy backwash...

All offers considered...

Wave Race sucks, big time.

Why though?

I thought it would be excellent, from the pictures I saw in magazines. It looked so smooth, so crisp and...superb!
But when I played it, it was absolute cr*p!
The graphics were terrible, the PS1 could've handled them, and the controls were horrifically difficult.
It really was horrendous, in my opinion.

Was it something wrong with the copy?
I can't believe I'd dislike it so much!
Listen to me, a Ninty, up there with Dringo and Edgy in terms of Nintendo-loving - and I'm saying I hate Wave Race!

Incredibly disappointing. I'm starting to think the US and Japanese versions were the really good ones, and we Europeans got bad deals. Again.

*Sigh*

I have a secret. I didn't like it that much either. I just didn't want to get on anyones bad side. I brought it from france when i went there with jmy school last year for 39francs. I just changed the language, played three levels and put it away.
The controls wern't that good Mario couldn't jump very well and the camera was bad. Hopefull Sunshine will change my mind on 3d Mario. From the clips i've seen the jumping is sorted, the camera is better and the controls...........well they're on the gc(the best controller ever so i know what to expect).

I never really liked Super Mario 64 that much. I borrowed it off a friend and I never got into it.
