Thats right. Glen finally has his striker, Robbie Keane. Glen did a swap with El Tel and Leeds got Anderton and Spurs got Keane. I don't think either team has to pay anything, i'm pretty sure it was a straight swap. Good news for Spurs I say!

Robbie Keane has indeed said that he would like to remain at Leeds after having talks with the manager. Darren Anderton is more likely to move to Leeds than Newcastle as Bobby Robson flat out denied any interest in him saying that they allready have enough quality midfielders at the club.

I think that Tottenham should just give Rebrov a few starts partnering Teddy Sheringham to try and bring out the best in him. His poor and lacklustre performances last year could have been down to not having enough time to get used and adapt to the rigors of the Premiership, like Pires and others before him.

The deal involving Robbie Keane and Darren Andeton was never finalised. It was just talk. Confirmation of this comes in todays Daily Telegraph in an article titled 'Keane commits future to Leeds'. Robbie Keane says in the article "The interest is always flattering, but I am happy at Leeds". He has turned down interest from Tottenham and Sunderland.

As for Darren Anderton there was an article in yesterdays Daily Mirror which begins 'Newcastle are ready to make a £7 million swoop for Darren Anderton after Tottenham put the England star up for grabs yesterday'. Glenn Hoddle confirmed he must sell before he can draft in a new striker but this does not include a swap for Keane.

I am not sure where people got the idea that it was a done deal but it seems far from that now.

What do people think about Anderton perhaps going to Newcastle?

Dynamo Kiev are the ones interested in Sergei Rebrov although they will only take him on loan with a a view to a permanent move whereas Tottenham want cash for him now. Fiorentina came into it because Tottenham were linked with there striker Nuno Gomes who could leave at a cut price fee because of their financial problems.

But weren't Fiorentina in massive Financial Danger at the end of last season?? How can they afford the £10m+ for the services of Rebrov if this is still the case???

Yep we need to spend. Thing is, ENIC the tight gits wont give us any money. We need to sell and Fiorentina are the only interested in Rebrov.

I only heard today that Anderton may be on his way out and that Venables is a strong-admierer of his abillity...

I've still heard nothing more about Keane going to Spurs since Hoddle said he's not interested.

One other thing I did hear came from Tim Sherwood.
He was saying that although he's impressed with Hoddle's Free Signings, they really do need to start spending REAL money in order to progress and succeed.
