Now I know this system comes out in a few days (5th August) but was just wondering if SR plan to sell it. Also on the Gamecube forum some have said it needs a separate memory card or a NTSC compatible TV. Could anyone confirm this or give me specific details. Thanks. Also would this didk allow for pirating of Games as that would not be a very good idea *sarcasm*

Yay! I can chill out and act cool as my smallish Pye TV (in my room) plays 60 Hz in exactly the same picture quality. Cheers Cookie for the information on how to check.

Do what Fuzzy said. Press and hold B when you start up the computer.

On the boot-up screen, hold 'b' and it will give you a choice to run in 60hz mode or not (if the game supports it) some t.vs do it automatically though. Oh, and it makes the game quicker.

Well firstly you need one of the game that will run in 60hz mode. The only ones i am certain of having this function are Rogue Leader and Super Monkey Ball. Wave race may work as well but im not sure. Now with Rogue Leader simply look in the options menu for the option to play the game in 60hz mode. For Monkey ball press and hold the B button after turning the console on, you will the be presented with a screen asking if you would like to display the game in 60hz mode. What 60hz mode does is allow the games to run at the same speed they do in America and Japan, this makes the games run faster, but i notice it can slightly wash out the colour. If you TV runs the game in full colour when it is in 60hz mode then your TV is NTSC compatible, and you can chill out and act cool.

Its hard to tell if you will need an NTSC TV or not. If you have an official scart then this should not be a problem. Or if you have ran a game on 60hz in the past and the picture has appeared "Normal" then you should be fine.
