Now I know this system comes out in a few days (5th August) but was just wondering if SR plan to sell it. Also on the Gamecube forum some have said it needs a separate memory card or a NTSC compatible TV. Could anyone confirm this or give me specific details. Thanks. Also would this didk allow for pirating of Games as that would not be a very good idea *sarcasm*

I have tried Rpgue Squadron in 60Hz mode and I got no sound... now I thought this was wierd as I thought 60Hz only affected the speed the graphics (ie the screen display) ran at, and didn't affect the sound in any way...

Hmm...

No not all games are equipped to run in 60hz mode. Only American/Jap games are "Locked" to 60hz mode. If a game doesnt run in 60hz, then it will be a european game, and you wont have any troubles with it.

OK so I got the 60Hz mode to work on my new TV, but I was wondering if all games have a 60Hz option as from what you say it seems that for import games to run they need to be setup up to run in the 60Hz mode. Am I correct, please could you explain this to me. What happens if a game is not supported to run in 60Hz mode. Does anyone know a site which gives thorough details???

Ah you are using the thing out of the box. Use the scart socket bit, if the game runs OK in 60hz then your TV is compatible. If not dont despair, it just means you will have to buy the official scart cable.
