Oh no - Looks like we've got the original Insane Bartenders Bas*ard offspring in here now.

Oh well IB became a decent geezer over time so maybe there's hope.

Otherwise - welcome to SR Troll !

*Yawns*

I'm not interested in getting along with the number of stupid individuals here, as such you'll continually recieved as much flak as you deserve, thanks for the concern though. ;)

Shadow, I spell religeon with an E out of personal preference, yet know the correct spelling and stated I knew E was not the ipso facto version. The difference here is that I do it out of preference (and can afford to, actually having been certified competant in the English language from my stay in academia), Flanders etc. do it out of stupidity and ignorance, thats the issue that was pointed out to our not so learned friends.

Yes I understand that but it is the context in which he used it - the statement was

"but I do believe in some higher entity/occurance governing events."

So if this entity is not "living" in either the way we understand or in any ways we do not understand then it would be an inanimate object like a rock. In which case he would believe in a nice little rock governing his life..

I know - it's getting rather silly now. I'm leaving this one alone from here on in !!!

You lot can carry on if you like ;-)

Way to go to get along on these forums.

Go screw yourself.

I think Lawless was just trying to point out that you were getting at something for which, you yourself, have done differently. Perhaps Flanders has a preference to spell methinks with an extra E. The way YOU spell words isn't necessarily the way everyone else does. You have to allow tolerance for people who will try to correct your spelling, even if you prefer it a different way. I think Lawless was trying to point out that you were being hypocritical for telling Flanders how to spell, when you had already made a spelling mistake yourself (in everyone else's eyes). He said it despite you previously stating you choose to spell it differently, yes, but that doesn't negate it.

I'm not having a go at you here. I'm simply saying that you can't go around spelling things your own way and then start tellng other people when they have spelt something incorrectly. It looks hypocritical to everyone because it is not the norm. It's like saying you dislike Wotsits but then go and eat a packet of Cheesey Poofs (cheaper version of the same thing). It may be your preference but not everyone will like it and it will look hypocritical. I would just advise you to be more tolerable in future.

You're either a kid, or a seriously braindead adult - pick one. ;)

Not at all contradictory, I suggest you go and READ it again, try and understand the context - you know? Simple tasks associated with comprehension? Still beyond you?

I said I believe in fate, not a higher entity, if you acrtually paid attention to the post you'd have noticed I mentioned the only reason I refer to it as an entity (personify it) is because its easier to get your head around. Pay attention. ;)

Another fool who apparently can't read, look at my first reply - I actually pointed out I know how religion is spelt, but the I is an ugly spelling, and so I have ALWAYS used E despite it being incorrect. The fact the post says this in reverse (using I instead of E) is due to inebriation. But you'll find that I know fine well how the word is spelt, I merely use another spelling out of preference. So again, not at all hypocritical.

Why is the world full of morons who lack basic comprehension skills? Let me rephrase that... why are the SR forums full of morons who lack basic comprehension skills?

Oh btw Lawless, just so you're entirely aware, that was a rhetorical question. ;)

Shock, you're a genius... well, at least you're not one of the stupid ones. Its at least refreshing to see that there are a few people here with a decent grasp of the English language, amid all these fools who can't even recall the definition of an every day word, or whose reading skills are so lacking they produce some chronic attempt at a retort each time they post.

Well there we have it - we all have to have sex, or we'll be useless and be pointless in existance.

I certainly won't be useless or pointless!

Ok, I concede... the meaning of life is sex. Darwin said it, God said it (his first words to man: Go forth and multiply), and now I'm saying it.
