"Is Windows XP worth the risk?"

Right, I've heard many reasons not to upgrade to XP. However, I won a copy of it in an online competition when it first came out and I was wondering whether it would be worth upgrading to. At the moment, I'm running Windows ME (Millennium Edition) and I'm happy with it.

But what does everyone else think of XP? Do you reckon I should upgrade or not? Thanx...

What's wrong with XP? As far as I'm concerned it's the best OS Microsoft have ever released!

It's stable, easy to use, powerful, functional, reliable, fast......

I been using XP since December and been lovin lovin lovin it.

This PC is on 24/7 but has only crashed on me once.

XP is the best operating system i've every used by far, anyone who says it's no good either has never used it or is talking from their rear passage. ME is, like rob says, scum of the earth. Burn it, burn it now, for it is eeevil. XP rules mightily, upgrade to it, and love it.

I know people who upgrade from WInME to *Win98*. XP is definitely worth bearing to kiss goodbye to that trash - and I'm talking trash by Microsoft standards here - that you have infesting your computer. WinME is a scourge and a plague and should be wormed out of all its hiding places by whatever means necessary, even if that means installing XP.

I, personally, don't like XP - with good reason. I'd much prefer 2K myself, but if you have a good machine then go for XP.
