I was just interested if any of you lot are gettin jobs other the summer holidays...
all those grandads who have left school don't count. All of the items on my summer shoppin list are very expensive, so I'm gonna be workin my butt off this summer. I've managed to blag a job at Bisley Rifle Club (where they be doin the commonwealth games) that pays £40 a day...that means around £100 a week if I work a bit...YES!

Any of you got jobs then?

I've been working in Morrisons Supermarket for nearly 3 years now. I'm like a veteran or somthin...Just doing a bit of extra overtime than i usually do over the summer holidays. £4.50 an hour but get £6.75 on sundays. Works out to about £80 for 15 hours a week.

I applied for a job at Warner Bros cinema, but they only get back to you if they have an open position, and I haven't heard from them

I was gonna apply at UCI, but I couldn't bothered writing a CV. Today I spent a lot of time online trying to find a job at Blockbusters or HMV, or Virgin. But I finally gave up, and have decided to heed my mother's advice and get a job at the DSS keying stuff in. It's the twilight shift (or zone, as I call it) so it's from 4pm till 9 I think, which is really gonna mess up my body clock (more so than it already is) On the bright side, some people I know already work there, and my best mate wants a job there too. And I did work experience there, and I can type like a speeding bullet up the butt of a bat out of hell, so I should get a position there. Ah well, no interesting job for me...

No, but he will be :-D

I sang songs down the line to put him off and called him 'Burger Boy' but still he is going to do it.

He told me how it was such a quick interview like "What is your name?....Ok we'll have you" job.

I would NEVER work in that place, so many people see you with that uniform on with other geeks and jeeez no way.

Now I can go laugh at him :-D

I remember that place. I used to go down with my Dad and he even won Gold once in the Pocket Pistol competition. Of course, Pistols are banned in this country now but they have special permission to have them at Bisley for the Commonwealth Games.

Fooking hypocrites.....

(sorry SR but it gets me very angry)

Heh, I have one off the back of work experience we just finished, going in tomorrow to sort it out..PC shop in town, pretty much the best place I could go in the area - friendly blokes, trade prices on stuff and only a few days a week. Does require me to think though, actually diagnose/fix pcs rather than just stand in a shop and pass things through a till, heh..
